Here we are again

Alright I am finally back, alot of people have been asking for an update!

This picture Hanna finally let me style her hair after she had gotten her new hair cut, she looks so grown up. We have not done since then.

This past weekend Hanna and I went camping with her girl scout troop. Let me just say I LOVE THE CITY!!!! Even with 9 adults, 15 kids were very hard to handle...especially when they all were so tired and being mean to each other. Hanna seemed to have a good time until it was time to go to bed and something from the ceiling fell on her and she thought it was a bug. She started crying and wanted to go home. She finally went to sleep and was fine. However, we were both very glad to be home and in our own beds.

Few more weeks and Hanna will have finished another year of school. I can't believe that it is almost over. She has done so well again this year. She loves her teacher Miss Garney. We really hope to get another good teacher next year.

As for Madelyn....she is 10mos and is a devil. She finally learned how to crawl and is into everything. She is completely different from Hanna. She is going to be our trouble maker. Just look at her evil grin. She is growing up so fast. She loves to be on the go, hates to stay at home. She is doing great at the babysitters, loves the other kids. She will eat about anything...especially bread. Wonder where she gets that from....STEVE!

Steve had a birthday on the 27th and I made him is favorite Turkish dish Manta. It turned out pretty good. Here is a picture of what it looks like for his family
Now about me. I got a new job and actually love it. OK, well maybe not love I would rather stay home, but I do really like it. I am very busy and the days and weeks goes by very fast. I only work 4 days unless the dr decides to see someone on friday, and that would only be to 12. Steve and I are getting to ready to celebrate our 4yr anniversary on May 22.
Well that is what is going on with the Aydogan family. I will post again soon. Hope everyone is enjoying.

Sorry it's been so long

Hey everyone,

Boy has it been a long time since I've update. There is alot going on and I have not had anytime to keep up with this. Here is an update of what is going on in our lives.

Hanna-doing great in 1st grade, kinda has a boyfriend (Jonah). All the girls like him. Soccer is getting ready to start, she can't wait. She is so helpful w/Maddy(what a great sister she is!!!)She had a Girl Scout World Thinking Day. Our booth was on Turkey. It turned out very neat. She had a great time telling the girls about where her family is from. I posted a picture of Baklava that I made. I think I did a great job. Everyone loved it. Steve thinks I am the best wife ever for making it(ha! ha!) She has lost 8 teeth already. All but 2 have started coming in.

Maddy-she is now 8 mos old. I can not believe how time has flown by. She has started pushing herself backwards to move around. She is kinda getting up on her hands and knees if I put her there. Here firsts word is DaDa of course(I'm sad!) She is doing great at the babysitters. She loves to be out and about, hates being home. She has started swim lessons 2 wks ago. I did not want her to be scared of the water like Hanna was, so we started early this time. She is doing ok. We don't get much reaction out of her. She has been doing great at going to bed and sleeping all night. She has finally gotten over whatever had been making her sick. She had 3 ear infections and RSV. It had been a hard first 6 1/2 mos of her life. She is doing alot better and her attitude has really changed now that she feels better. Hope it stays this way.

Steve-Luckily still has a job. Hertz has been having lay offs and everytime we just hope and pray it is not him. He is doing pretty good. We have been trying very had to excerise more. He goes for a physical tomorrow, hoping everythings goes good. He had to go to Atlanta for a day a few weeks ago. I gave him a hard time about making me feel like a single parent. I had to do so much work when he was going. I could barely handle it(haha). He is having a blast with the girls. He is such a great dad and husband. Boy do I have it made!

Amy-OK as for me. Still trying to lose this baby fat 8 mos later. I have until June to lose it for vacation and by then Maddy will be a year old. I hope I can lose it by then. Work sucks as usual. I NEED A NEW JOB!!!!! I am taking over coaching soccer this season. We'll see how that goes. I am hoping to get a new car in the next few months. We are thinking of a van(can you believe it?) Hanna is really excited about that. I have my 10 yr class reunion in Aug. I can't believe how old I am getting(I will always be younger than Steve though!)

Well that is just an update of what is going on in our lives at the moment. We hope everything is well for all of you. We are doing great.

Here's an update

The first pic is of Maddy eating cereal for the 1st time. She loved it. At one point she grabbed the spoon and gagged herself. She is getting sooo big. The other pic is from Halloween. We had our cute little pink bunny that Nanny made (she did such a good job) and our fabulous looking Hannah Montana. Hanna ended up going trick-or-treating with her best friend and had such a great time. We just stayed home w/Maddy. Hanna is really growing up...she likes doing things on her own.

This weekend was pretty busy. We went to Silver Dollar City Sat. w/my mom and dad. We had alot of fun. The girls were great. Hanna loved riding the rides. I was able to ride them with her this year. Last year I was pregnant and Papa had to ride w/her. Papa still rode some with her which she loved. She thought it was so funny that Papa acted scared. Maddy was so good. She loved being outside seeing everything and everyone. She ended up sleeping almost all the way home.

I always heard that when you have more that one kid when one gets sick they just keep passing it back and forth. Hanna had strep about 1mos ago, then Maddy got an ear inf. Thurs night Hanna said her neck hurt and she had a knot on the rt. side. Fri. morning I made an appt since we were going out of town. She ended up having strep again. I have never had this much Amoxicillin in the fridge before. We are really hoping that Maddy does not get sick again.

Here is a video of Maddy trying cereal for the 1st time.

OK I tried to do a video but it did not work, I will try again soon.

Hope everyone is enjoying our blog. I will try and post a slideshow so you can see more pics.

Another busy week

We have just finished up another busy week and our weekend is almost over. On Thursday we had parent-teacher conf. Hanna's teacher Ms. Garney just raved about Hanna. She said that she is doing great in class and she is reading above grade level. Hanna has impeccable handwriting. On the other hand Hanna is very sociable and loves to talk, but she said Hanna wouldn't be Hanna if she did not talk. She did say Hanna is trying very hard to follow the rule about talking out so that is good.

Hanna really is starting to read very well and sometime we can't get her to put a book down. She has been doing so good on her spelling test also. I think she has gotten 100% every test. They now have 10 words to learn every week and they keep getting harder.

Today was our last soccer game (we got creamed). The kids just seemed not to be into it today. It was kinda early and very cold. 3 of our kids got injured(not seriously), Hanna ended up playing the whole game and was very tired, but really stepped up. Steve was so proud of her. Steve has done a great job at coaching the kids. They all seem to really like him. He has talked me into coaching in the Spring... he will be the assistant coach. Hope I do ok.

OK, now for Madelyn. She is getting so big. She will be 4mos tomorrow. We just can't believe how chunky she is getting, especially her legs. It is just sooo cute(too cute mom-haha). Maddy has started laughing alot and always full of smiles. She is able to kinda push up on her arms while on her tummy and look around. She will start on cereal in 2wks. Steve teases Hanna saying that Maddy will get to eat Frosted Flakes. She is no longer content in her car seat when we go out. She likes to be up and looking around, she does not want to miss a thing.

Last night my mom kept both girls and they went to carve pumpkins. They got a picture of Maddy with her hand in a pumpkin. Steve and I had a night out on the town....Well at least a few hours. We ere home by 8 and Steve was asleep by 8:15. We did have a nice dinner and great dessert. I have been working out at the Y and I have limited my sweet intake to 1xwk. Last night I think I had a whole weeks worth of dessert. We went to the Melting Pot for the chocolate fondue. I pigged out...Oh well it was delicious.

Next weekend we are going to Silver Dollar City for our annual trip to see the Christmas lights. We have so much fun and this year I can ride the rides(I was pregnant last yr.). Hanna really likes our trip. I am hoping that it is not as cold at last year.

I think that finishes up the last week or so, I will post more next week. Hope you are enjoying this.
